Wednesday, July 17
You know what I miss? I miss steak. And macaroni and cheese.
And hot-dogs. And chili dogs! And frito-pie. And sandwiches. And
pickles! And mayonnaise. And cheeseburgers (like, good ones). And bacon!
Omgyesbacon. And grilled-cheese sandwiches. And cheese in general. And salad (if you can believe it).
And calzones. And cereal. And milk. And brownies.
I'm an unhealthy person.
OH. And I miss people, of course. I miss you all! But I am
hungry right now.
Wednesday was mostly uneventful. I hardly slept because I
had to wake up early to prepare for my doom presentation. Each student
has to "teach" the class at least once this summer, and my day had finally
come.

In the end, it wasn't that bad. All the "teaching"
we really had to do was ask students questions about our topic of choice, and then they did most of the talking. Though, I will say, I talked a lot too. I had to
do research on my topic, which in this case was about 'technology in general
way, in the US and Morocco.' There was more than enough subject matter to talk
about for an hour. I researched some stuff about Morocco though, of which I was
less knowledgeable. Apparently their use of cell phones has increased more than
65% percent since last year alone. That's impressive. I think it's because this
is one of the first Middle Eastern countries to get a 3G network.
But it's easy to talk about technology. Everyone knows
plenty of information just from their own personal lives, especially as
Americans.
Then after class and I was sooo happy that I didn't have to
worry about that presentation anymore, our teacher found us at about 5 o'clock
in our corner of solitude and proceeded to inform us that we had another
presentation the next day. Great. Thanks. I didn't want to sleep
tonight. It's fine.
And we had homework, in addition to the presentation. And
families. And eating. And cultural events. And sleeping. And lives. S'what we
get for being in an "intensive" program. Should've known better.

Glad you were able to keep your head about you through all that. And remember, you survived 'intensive study' last summer! Proud of you.
